Kendama

The kendama (けん玉, "sword [and] ball") is a traditional Japanese skill toy. It consists of a handle (sword), a pair of cups (sarado), and a ball (tama) that are all connected together by a string. 

It is played to enhance hand eye coordination!

Kendama promotes a Japanese philosophy of kaizen, the continuous improvement of working practices, personal efficiency, and perseverance.
